How does Curodont work?

Early tooth decay starts when minerals are lost from the enamel.

Curodont is applied directly to the affected area. It uses peptides to help calcium, phosphate, and other minerals move back into weakened enamel.

The treatment takes only a few minutes.

There is no shot, drilling, or filling material placed in the tooth.

What kinds of cavities can be treated?

Curodont is designed for early decay where the tooth surface is still mostly intact.

It may be an option when we find an early cavity on an exam or X-ray before the tooth has developed a larger hole or significant structural damage.

Larger, deeper, painful, or broken-down cavities may still require a traditional filling or another treatment.

What happens during treatment?

We clean and prepare the area and apply Curodont directly to the tooth.

The material stays on the tooth for a few minutes and begins working within the enamel.

You can return to normal activities afterward.

Does Curodont replace brushing and cavity prevention?

No.

The treated tooth still needs good home care and follow-up.

Depending on your cavity risk, we may also discuss toothpaste, fluoride or fluoride-free products, MI Paste, nano-hydroxyapatite, diet, dry mouth, or other ways to prevent additional decay.

Will I still need a filling later?

Some early lesions can remain stable or improve after non-invasive treatment, while others may continue to progress.

We monitor the area during future visits.

If the cavity becomes larger or the tooth begins to break down, a filling may still be needed.
