Tooth-Colored Fillings in Newport, NH
Tooth-colored fillings restore teeth affected by decay, wear, small fractures, or failing restorations while blending with the surrounding tooth.
Canobie Dental uses mercury-free restorative materials and offers BPA-free, ceramic-based filling options.
Conservative cavity treatment
The goal is to remove the diseased or structurally unsound portion of the tooth while preserving healthy natural tooth structure whenever reasonably possible.
For selected deep cavities, conservative caries-removal or indirect-pulp-treatment techniques may help reduce unnecessary risk to the pulp.
Material choices
One restorative option available at Canobie Dental is VOCO Admira Fusion ORMOCER, a ceramic-based tooth-colored restorative.
Material choice depends on the tooth, size and location of the restoration, bite forces, esthetic needs, and other clinical factors.
What about very early decay?
A filling is not always the first treatment for early, non-cavitated decay.
Depending on the lesion and cavity risk, preventive changes, remineralization, monitoring, or Curodont may be considered before structural breakdown requires a restoration.
Natural appearance
For visible teeth, we select shade and shape with the goal of blending the restoration naturally with the surrounding tooth.
No filling material is permanent, so restorations still need routine monitoring and maintenance.
