Canobie Dental offers several ways to pay for care, including dental insurance, NH Smiles and Vermont Medicaid for eligible members, Canobie Dental Membership, direct payment, and patient financing.
Dental insurance
Canobie Dental currently participates with:
Participating with an insurance plan does not mean every service is covered or that treatment has no out-of-pocket cost.
Your deductible, annual maximum, waiting periods, exclusions, frequency limitations, eligibility, and other plan terms can affect what you owe.

Canobie Dental participates with NH Smiles Adult and Children's Dental Benefits.
Eligible children and adults are welcome at our Newport office.
Coverage for a specific service depends on the patient's current eligibility and benefits. A treatment offered by Canobie Dental is not automatically a treatment covered by NH Smiles.
Vermont Medicaid
Adults and children with Vermont Medicaid can receive in-network care at Canobie Dental. Individual eligibility and service coverage still need to be verified.
No dental insurance?
You do not need dental insurance to become a patient.
Canobie Dental Membership is available for patients who want a direct-practice alternative.
Current membership is $40 per month with a one-time $20 enrollment fee, or $480 per year with the enrollment fee waived.
It covers routine preventive care and includes reduced fees on additional treatment.
Canobie Dental Membership is not insurance and cannot be combined with dental insurance for the same service.

Checks are not accepted for same-day payment. We recommend making payments via check and Zelle in advance of your appointment, not on the day of.

Patient financing
Financing can help divide the cost of larger treatment into payments instead of paying the entire amount at once.

What will my treatment cost?
After we evaluate your dental needs and develop a treatment plan, we can explain the expected fees for that treatment.
If you have dental insurance, available benefit information can be used to help estimate how your plan may apply.
An estimate is still an estimate. Final insurance payment depends on the actual claim and the terms of your plan.
